Finished Boards Workshop

The #16 Finishing Board Workshop project involves an investment of 450 million yuan and covers an area of 49.3 acres. It is designed to produce 452,000 m³ of OSB decorative panels and 48,000 m³ of ultra-skin-touch UV panels annually. Co-developed by Luli Wood Industry and globally leading German company Wemhöner, the production process integrates green manufacturing and smart manufacturing concepts. The entire project features integrated information system control enabling fully automated logistics and big data management, achieving intelligent, digital, and visual operations. With domestically leading equipment and technology, it accomplishes one-stop production from original paper printing, impregnation, surface pressing, to UV processing. Additionally, it enables higher-precision synchronous pattern alignment, boosting production efficiency 5-fold over traditional presses while reducing costs and enhancing quality.
    1. The German Wemhöner fully automated short-cycle press lines ensure minimal thickness variation across the pressing range, allowing flexible substrate use and guaranteed product quality. Equipped with an automatic board surface cleaning system, it thoroughly removes substrate impurities for flawless finishing; automatic suction-fed impregnated paper handling reduces labor and paper damage while enabling autonomous alignment; and an automatic flipping and cooling device rapidly lowers board temperature below 40°C, eliminating traditional prolonged curing cycles.
Wemhöner’s synchronous pattern alignment technology uses high-resolution imaging and precision positioning to perfectly overlap wood-grain paper with steel plate textures during pressing. This gives decorative panels authentic visual and tactile wood-like qualities.
    2. The I.V.I impregnation lines, among China’s most advanced, operate at high speeds of 30-35 m/min (vs. 20 m/min for standard domestic equipment) while maintaining superior precision. They ensure accurate glue application and uniform surface coating, featuring precise impregnation, multi-point tension control, color-marker cutting, and energy-efficient stable drying. Automatic glue dispensing guarantees scientific and accurate formulation ratios.
    3. The printing lines adopt German Reuther technology, achieving speeds of 250-300 m/min (compared to 120-150 m/min for domestic equivalents). This high-speed printing maintains exact color registration, offering unmatched stability and quality.
The project includes four German Wemhöner press lines, four I.V.I flat-press impregnation lines, four gravure printing lines, and an intelligent warehousing system—19 sets in total. Currently, Wemhöner Lines #1–2 operate normally; #3 is under commissioning for November start; #4 will complete installation/debugging in December. I.V.I Lines: #1–2 run normally; #3 finishes commissioning for trial production. Printing: the five-color Line #1 operates normally; the four-color Line #2 undergoes mid-month installation. Upon completion, the project will achieve annual sales revenue of 1.57 billion yuan and tax contributions of 220 million yuan, further leading green development in the wood-based panel and furniture industries.
