Hunan Project Brief
The 2×800,000 m³/year Particleboard Project has a total investment of 2.85 billion yuan. It introduces internationally advanced Dieffenbacher production technology and equipment, utilizing abundant local bamboo-wood resources such as fast-growing timber, branchwood, bamboo strips, and bamboo chips, with an annual consumption of about 3.9 million tons. It comprehensively utilizes wood residues to produce high-quality panels, increasing local farmers' income and promoting regional wood processing industries. Products include surface-ready oriented structural boards (FOSB), oriented strand boards (OSB), and flame-retardant OSB—all formaldehyde-free—with an annual output of 1.6 million m³. Once operational, it will become a national benchmark for particleboard production, excelling in lowest energy consumption, optimal metrics, best environmental performance, and highest resource utilization efficiency, showcasing the integration of modern IT and wood-based panel manufacturing.
The 60MW Biomass Cogeneration Project at Hunan Luli Green New Material Industrial Park was included in the "Hunan Province 14th Five-Year Renewable Energy Development Plan" in May 2022. It includes 3×170t/h high-temperature biomass boilers, 2×30MW steam turbine generators, and auxiliary infrastructure, fueled by production waste (bark, sawdust) and local agricultural residues (rice straw, wood waste). Adhering to principles of "unified planning, electricity-by-heat, optimized structure, high efficiency, and eco-priority," its power generation is 100% biomass-sourced, replacing fossil fuels and complying with national low-carbon policies. This enables a green, circular economy while reducing pollution and improving regional air quality.
The Wood Processing Project, with a 1-billion-yuan investment, processes 1.1 million m³ of logs annually to produce 600,000 m³ of solid wood boards and 180,000 m³ of finger-jointed timber. Lumber is sawn from logs for dimensional stability, low warping, high nail-holding power, and fire resistance. Finger-jointed timber maximizes small-diameter wood utilization for resource efficiency.
The Eco-Friendly Lightweight Building Materials Project (investment: 200 million yuan) covers 60 acres and annually produces 150,000 m³ of aerated concrete blocks and 150,000 m³ of panels. Using fly ash from the 60MW biomass plant, mixed with cement, it creates lightweight, insulating materials through pouring, foaming, cutting, and autoclaving. This circular approach converts waste into valuable products, with projected annual revenue of 200 million yuan.
The High-End Surface-Functional Board Project (investment: 500 million yuan) deploys German "Wemhöner" automated short-cycle press lines and "I.V.I" coating lines, including Asia's largest co-developed press with Luli. Digital integration enables one-stop production from printing and impregnation to pressing and UV finishing, plus synchronous pattern alignment. This boosts efficiency 5-fold while reducing costs and enhancing quality. Annual capacity includes 450,000 m³ of OSB decorative boards and 48,000 m³ of super-matte UV panels, targeting 1.5 billion yuan in revenue.
The Modern Furniture Industrial Park Project (investment: ~4 billion yuan) uses patented formaldehyde-free OSB as core material. Equipped with German Homag’s top-tier intelligent systems—including flexible assembly, 3D scanning, and seamless edge banding—it achieves industry-leading eco-standards. Annual output: 600,000 furniture sets, with projected revenue of 3 billion yuan and tax contributions of 400 million yuan.
